The surface is finished to read as weathered wood, with grain lines, end-grain rings on the top and dark patina spots, but the body is magnesium oxide, so it can sit on a covered porch as easily as beside a sofa.

At a glance

Twisted hourglass form with a square top

Magnesium oxide body

Painted wood-look finish with grain lines and dark patina spots

Suitable for indoor rooms and covered outdoor spaces

No assembly needed

12.5 in W × 12.5 in D × 18 in H; 15 lb

Design notes

Seen straight on, the table reads as a simple hourglass; walk around it and the twist shows, each face folding into the next. That movement is why it works on its own, beside a plain armchair or at the end of a bench, without needing much on top. The finish varies from piece to piece, and the darker spots are part of it. At 18 inches tall it sits a little below the arm of most sofas and lounge chairs, where a drink is easiest to reach. Its compact footprint suits small living rooms, bedrooms and balconies.

Materials & care

Magnesium oxide is a dense, stone-like material; this one is painted to look like wood. Wipe it with a soft, damp cloth and dry it. Outdoors, keep it under cover and bring it in during freezing weather. Use a coaster under hot or wet glasses to protect the painted finish.

Good to know

Is it real wood? No. The body is magnesium oxide with a painted wood-look finish, which is why it suits covered outdoor spaces too.

Does it need assembly? No. It arrives as one piece, ready to place.

When will it arrive? Most orders arrive within 4–9 business days of purchase.
