Three shapes share one surface: each ribbed wood-grain ceramic vase is scored from shoulder to foot with fine vertical lines and finished in a warm brown that catches gold in the grooves. A pale ivory neck or rim breaks the brown at the top. Buy one shape, or the set of three.
At a glance
The ribs give the clay the look of split timber, so the pieces sit well with oak, walnut and linen. The narrow necks of the bottle and the jar hold a single branch upright, which is all these shapes need. As a trio, stagger the heights on a console or a low sideboard and let a lamp rake across the grooves at night. More forms are in our vase collection.
The tall bottle stands 10.2 in high with a 1.8 in opening. The oval is 9.4 in high and 5.1 in wide, with the widest mouth of the three at 2.8 in. The shouldered jar is the shortest at 6.9 in, with a 1.2 in neck for a single stem. Together, the set covers a 6.9 to 10.2 in range of heights.
Each vase is ceramic with a scored, ribbed surface. Dust with a soft, dry brush to clear the grooves, or wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry straight away.
