In the evening, a candle warmer lamp does what a match used to. Set a jar candle on the marble base, switch the lamp on, and the glow from the fluted glass shade softens the top of the wax so the scent drifts through the room with no open flame.
At a glance
The shape borrows from an old flower lamp: a swan-neck arm rises from a round marble foot and hangs a tulip of glass over the candle. Lit without a candle, it is a soft accent light for a dresser or a nightstand; with a jar beneath it, the wax glows from the top down. It sits as comfortably on a bookshelf as on a bedside table. The lamp stands 11.8 in tall on a 6.3 in base, with about 4.7 in between the base and the rim of the shade. That suits most medium jar candles: look for a jar up to about 3.9 in wide and 4.3 in tall. A taller jar will sit too close to the shade, so measure before you buy candles for it.
The base is marble, the arm is metal with a gold-tone finish, and the shade is fluted glass. Marble is a natural stone, so the veining and tone vary a little from base to base. Let the lamp cool before you move it or touch the shade, wipe the glass with a soft, dry cloth, and lift any spilled wax off the marble once it has hardened. Do not leave it running when you leave the room.
Is a candle included? No. The lamp ships on its own; the candle, flowers and frame in the photos are for styling.
Can I use it as an ordinary lamp? Yes. Without a candle beneath it, it gives a soft accent light.
