A slim stem, a short walnut grip and a floating disc of clear glass: this table lamp is drawn in three lines. Light gathers under the brass-tone cap and spreads through the rim of the glass, so the glow sits low and close.
At a glance
The lamp works by contrast of materials. Warm brushed metal for the structure, a band of walnut where your hand would reach, and clear glass that almost disappears until the light comes on. Nothing is decorative for its own sake. Pair it with dark wood or travertine, or see it beside the rest of our table lamps.
At 15.9 inches tall with an 8.7 inch disc, it is compact enough for a nightstand, a narrow console or a desk corner, and it reads well at eye level in a bookcase. The round base is the same width as the shade, so the footprint stays tidy.
The shade is clear glass, the stem, cap and base are copper in a brushed brass tone, and the grip is walnut wood. Wipe the glass with a soft cloth and a little glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth, not the lamp. Dust the metal with a dry cloth; a drop of furniture oil on a cloth keeps the walnut from drying out.
Does the glass come in a tint? No. This lamp has a clear glass disc only.
Will the metal look exactly like brass? The stem, cap and base are copper with a brushed finish in a warm brass tone, as in the photos.
