Flanking a bathroom mirror, a pair of these satin brass wall sconces does what an overhead fixture can't: light the face from the sides, evenly, with no shadows under the brow. Each holds a clear ribbed glass shade shaped like a candle sleeve, and the fluting scatters the light into a soft vertical shimmer.
Design notes
Satin brass is the workhorse finish of a warm interior — softer than polished, livelier than bronze — and a slender single-light sconce is its best delivery method.
