Each charred wood tealight holder is a single block of paulownia, roasted dark until the grain stands out, then drilled with a shallow well for one tealight.
At a glance
- Solid paulownia wood with a charred finish
- Chamfered square block, 2.4 × 2.4 in at the top
- Short 2 in, medium 3.9 in or tall 5.9 in
- Tealight well 1.8 in across and 0.4 in deep
- Drilled from one block, no glue
- Sold individually; tealight not included
Design notes
The charring brings the soft grain of paulownia forward, so every block carries its own pattern of dark ridges and lighter wood. Bought in all three heights, they make a stepped group that throws a low, uneven glow across a shelf or a dinner table. They sit plainly beside linen, stone and brass. More holders live in candles and holders.
Size & fit
All three share a 2.4 × 2.4 in top and a 1.8 in well. The short holder stands 2 in tall, the medium 3.9 in and the tall 5.9 in. A standard tealight in its metal cup sits in the well, as the photos show.
Materials & care
Natural paulownia wood with a charred finish; no glue is used. Burn tealights only in their metal cups, never leave a flame unattended, and set the holders on a heat-safe surface away from curtains. Dust with a dry cloth.
Good to know
Is this a set of three? No. Each holder is sold on its own in the height you choose; the photos show all three together.
Is a tealight included? No. The lit tealights in the photos are styling only.
