The base is a pair of free-form shapes, one upright and one turned on its side, that hold the glass at three points. The form takes its cue from mid-century sculpture. At 35.8 x 25.6 in the top suits a compact living room or a reading corner, and the 15.7 in height is an easy reach from most sofas. The open base leaves the floor visible underneath, so it takes up less visual room than a solid table of the same size.
