At a glance
The outline is irregular on purpose, closer to a river stone than a plate, and the rim rolls up gently so small things stay in. Polished marble picks up lamplight along that rim in the evening; the travertine stays matte and chalky, with the pores of the stone left open. At 9.4 x 6.7 in it fits on a nightstand beside a lamp, on a bathroom counter, or on a console by the front door for keys and a phone. At 0.7 in tall it sits low enough to slide onto a shelf.
Marble and travertine are porous natural stones. Wipe with a soft dry or barely damp cloth. Keep acids such as citrus juice, vinegar and some bathroom cleaners off the surface, since they can dull a polish or etch the stone, and do not leave perfume or oil sitting on it. Set it down gently; stone can chip if knocked against a hard edge.
Will my tray look exactly like the photo? The color family will match, but the pattern will differ. Marble veining and travertine pores are natural, so each tray is its own piece.
