Over a dresser or a vanity it holds a full circle of reflected room, and the slim rim gives the shape a clean edge against pale walls.

A circle is the easiest shape to live with. It sits well over furniture with straight edges and does not argue with a paneled wall, a fluted vanity or a row of framed prints. The black rim matches matte black taps and iron hardware; the gold rim picks up brass lamps and warm wood. The 36 in mirror is 1.1 in deep and weighs 14 lb; it suits a vanity or dresser 42 in wide or more, an entry wall, or the space above a sofa. The 30 in gold mirror, at 11 lb, fits a single vanity or a narrower wall. Leave 6 to 10 in between its lower edge and the furniture below so the circle reads clearly.
The frame is aluminum alloy with a brushed black or brushed gold finish, holding 4 mm mirror glass over an MDF backing board. A safety film on the back is meant to hold the glass together if it is ever broken. Wipe the frame with a dry cloth, and spray glass cleaner onto the cloth, not onto the mirror, so nothing seeps behind the frame.
Is it heavy to hang? The 36 in mirror weighs 14 lb and the 30 in mirror 11 lb. Use the included hooks and screws, set into studs or into anchors rated for that weight.
Can it hang over a sink? Yes. It is made as a bathroom mirror, and the aluminum frame is described as rust resistant.
