Six feet of green for a corner that never gets enough sun: this twisted trunk faux ficus tree stacks three wide tiers of leaves on a trunk wrapped in winding vines, and it asks for nothing more than a dusting now and then.
At a glance
The tiered shape is borrowed from clipped topiary, but the trunk keeps it loose: it twists as it rises, thin vines wind around it, and the leaves fall in soft layers rather than a tight ball. Lit from below by a floor lamp in the evening, the tiers throw layered shadows up the wall. The plain black planter is meant to drop inside a larger pot of your own, which is how it is styled in our photos. More in our faux plants and trees.
At 70.9 in, the tree stays well under an 8 ft ceiling, even set inside a taller decorative pot. The widest tier spreads 29.5 in, so allow about 30 in of floor and wall space in a corner or beside a window. The included planter is 6.3 in across and 6 in tall; a cachepot 8 to 12 in wide hides it neatly.
The main material is plastic, with a textured trunk and faux leaves. Dust with a soft cloth, or use a hair dryer on the cool setting for the inner leaves. It needs no water, light or pruning.
Is the white or ribbed pot in the photos included? No. The tree ships in the plain black planter shown on the white background; the larger decorative pots are styling.
Does it need assembly? A little. The trunk arrives in sections: line up the rod, press the sections together firmly, then fluff the branches and leaves into shape.
