Design notes

Olive leaves are narrow and two-toned, darker on top and paler underneath, which gives the canopy a light, silvery look instead of a dense green mass. The branches here are left open, so you can see the trunk and the wall behind it, the way a real olive grows in a sunny room. Size & fit

At 72 in tall and about 33 in across, it suits rooms with standard 8 ft ceilings and leaves headroom above the crown. The pot is small, 6 in across and 5 in tall, so it drops into most floor planters with a wider opening; pack stones or filler around it to keep it upright. The tree weighs 14.7 lb and ships in a slim box, 34.3 x 7.9 x 7.9 in.

Materials & care

The leaves are fabric and plastic, the frame inside is iron and plastic, and the pot is black plastic. There is nothing to water, prune or feed. Wipe dust from the leaves with a soft, dry cloth now and then, and keep the tree out of long hours of strong direct sun to help the color last. After unpacking, slot the trunk sections together, then bend and spread the branches by hand for a fuller shape.

Is the planter in the photos included? The tree comes in its black plastic pot. The textured stone planter in the living room photo is not included.
