Thin bamboo slats bow outward between two wooden hoops to shape this lantern candle holder, a rounded open cage that turns one pillar into stripes of light across the wall behind it. A bentwood collar and handle finish the top, so it carries easily from room to room.
At a glance
The silhouette is a soft teardrop: narrow at the collar, full at the base, with the slats spaced wide enough to show the candle and close enough to break its light into a pattern. Set it on a console with greenery, on a hearth, or on the floor beside a reading chair. The handle is fixed with a small metal rivet on each side. See more pieces in our candle holders collection.
At 13.8 in to the top of the handle and 9.8 in across at its widest, the lantern suits a console, sideboard or deep windowsill. This is the smaller size of the design; one of our photos shows a larger lantern from the same family in the background, and only one lantern ships with each order.
The body is bamboo slats on wooden hoops, with a bentwood collar and handle in a natural light wood tone. Dust it with a soft brush or a dry cloth. Keep it indoors or under cover, away from standing water and long hours of direct sun, which can dry and fade the wood.
Can I use a real candle? We recommend a flameless LED pillar. Bamboo is dry and catches easily, so an open flame inside a slatted lantern is not a safe pairing.
Is it one lantern or two? One. The second lantern in some photos is a larger size that is not part of this listing.
