At a glance
The veining runs over the rim and down the sides, so the stone reads as one piece from every angle. Set two taper candles on it for the dinner table, or let it hold perfume and a ring dish by the mirror; either way the pale stone brightens under lamp light in the evening. At 10 in across it fits on a nightstand, a vanity or the middle of a coffee table, and the rim keeps bottles and jewelry from sliding off. Its weight keeps it steady once it is set down.
Marble is natural and porous. Wipe spills quickly with a soft, damp cloth, and avoid acidic cleaners, lemon, vinegar and perfume left standing on the stone. Dry it after cleaning, and add felt pads underneath to protect a wood surface.
Is it real marble? Yes. It is natural marble, so the veining and shade will differ a little from the photos.
Can I put candles on it? Yes, in holders as pictured. Let any wax cool, then lift it off gently.
